I Smell Smoke!!! was the Reserve Grand Champion at the 2009 NH State BBQ Championship held in Merrimack, NH the weekend of June 20-21, 2009. The team received awards for 1st place Pork and 2nd place Brisket. In Saturday's Grilling Competiton, the team was named Grand Champion, with calls for 1st place Chicken and 1st place Shrimp. |

I Smell Smoke!!! made the long haul to Little Rock, Arkansas for the Smoke on the Water competition at the Clinton Presidential Center March 13-14, 2009. The team received calls in three categories -- 14th in Chicken, 19th in Ribs, and 18th in Pork and finished 8th overall, out of 130 of the top teams in the country. |

The team placed 2nd in chicken, 1st in Sausage, 3rd in Flank Steak and 7th in Ribs which was good enough to propel them to Grand Champion. The temps were in the 20's and the snow came down all day but it was a fun event to kick of the 2009 BBQ Season. Next stop..... Arkansas...Wish us luck. |
