The Team was missing Doug, Carlotta, and Carmen, but still managed to pull off a win at the CT State Championship. Pat Brogdon and Dave Peterson joined Steve and Charlie at the Harley Davidson dealership for this 1st annual event. |

I Smell Smoke!!! was glad there was no snow this year at the VFW in Abington, MA. The team took 4th place in the Fish category; 1st place in the Sausage category; 1st place in the Beef category with beef short ribs; and 1st place in the Vegetable category with Vegetable Ricotta Timbales in a Red Pepper Coulis. Doug and Charlie's Dad, Charlie, and his friend Gerry shared in the team's win and got a chance to visit with Carmen. It's not the alley at the brewary in Concord, but it's a good time!

We battled against 14 hardy teams at the first annual Winter Sizzler bbq competition. It was cold, it snowed, it was a blast. Saturday night there was a chicken wing contest which we didn't do very well in. Sunday we placed 5th in chicken, 3rd in ribs, 3rd in pork, first in brisket,2nd in Chili and 1st in peoples choice Pork. That was good enough to propel us to Grand Champion !! I Smell Smoke !!! |
